What the Index will measure
The proposed starting metric is each included platform’s share of measured visits to AI websites in a country during a defined month. The final metric will depend on the available data source and coverage.
Share = measured visits to one included platform ÷ measured visits to all included platforms × 100.
This metric would describe activity within the measured set. It would not establish the share of all AI users, prompts, API requests, mobile-app use, or AI-generated referrals to other websites.
