Section 3

Name a section “Optional” for pages AI tools can skip when they need a shorter context. Everything runs in your browser; nothing is sent to Digraph.

Your llms.txt

# Your site name

Upload the file to the root of your domain so it loads at https://yourdomain.com/llms.txt.

The llms.txt format

An llms.txt file is Markdown. It starts with your site name as a heading, then a one-line summary, then sections of links to your most useful pages, each with a short description:

# Example Co

> Example Co makes invoicing software for small agencies.

## Docs

- [Getting started](https://example.com/docs/start): Set up an account and send a first invoice
- [API reference](https://example.com/docs/api): Endpoints, authentication and limits

## Optional

- [Changelog](https://example.com/changelog): Release notes

Common questions

What does this llms.txt generator do?

It turns your site name, a short summary, and lists of key pages into a Markdown file that follows the llms.txt format proposed at llmstxt.org. It runs in your browser and nothing you type is sent to Digraph.

Which pages should I include in llms.txt?

The 10–30 pages that best explain your site: product or service pages, documentation, pricing, key policies, and a few strong guides. Put pages an AI system could skip, such as the blog archive or changelog, under a section called Optional.

Where do I upload llms.txt?

Save the file as llms.txt at the root of your domain, so it loads at https://yourdomain.com/llms.txt as plain text. Then check that every linked page is public and not blocked in robots.txt.

Will llms.txt get my brand into ChatGPT or Google AI Overviews?

Not on its own. Support for llms.txt varies between AI providers, and Google’s guidance for AI Overviews does not mention it. It is a low-cost addition; crawlable pages, clear content, and mentions on trusted sites matter more.
